EARWAX, THE BIG BANG 2001
Saturday
5th of May saw the Earwax crew take over an arena at The Big Bang, A VW
festival at Santa Pod and warm up for the Famous Bugjam. The crazy Earwax
crew for the day were Andy & Jamie (The Suburban DJ's) and resident
Alcoholics Mark and Dylan. We drove a quarter of a mile before the first
pub stop, and for the resident alcoholics to stock up on porn. Then 120
miles later we actually made it to Santa Pod, we set up the tent and
before we knew it, it was time for the Suburban DJ"s! A great time
was had by all, with the tent going mental - big shout to the people with
fake afro's and Big Ed - never thought I'd see a Frank Sidebottom
look-a-like moshing to Nirvana! Before we knew it, 5 hours of indie
anthems had flown by and the set was over, ending with a great rendition
from the crowd of 'Happy Birthday' to Jamie who had just turned 22! Love
and Respect to everyone who made it a great night!
