Danny Stevens |
|
"Exceptional singer/songwriter
Danny Stevens appears next with the acoustic lo-fi love ballad "One
in Ten". Danny has played in many bands including support slots with
Brian May and Mark Shaw. He has recently gone solo and the results are
very melodic and beautiful. This lovely stripped down song is melancholy,
thoughtful and catchy at the same time. " I don't care about money or
the way we exist " sings Danny with heartfelt emotion. The wonderful
harmonica brings a warm folky feel. The vocals are smooth and like Bob
Dylan crossed with Billy Corgan while on holiday with Ryan Adams.
Thoughtful, poetic proper songwriting from an artist with a bright
future."

Having recently returned from gigging
in new york city and boston achieving a play-listing on a big new york
city internet radio station, exciting singer songwriter danny stevens
began writing songs at 14 years of age but only recently began singing out
of pure frustration from persistently lazy singers in consecutive bands.
danny has taken lifelong influences from artists such as bob dylan and
gram parsons and recent influences from ryan adams and jesse malin and
created his own unique blend of emotive music alongside personal, thought
provoking lyrics. currently danny track one in ten is featured on a
compilation called "Hit Maker" released by internet based record
company matchbox recordings. in addition to reaching number one in the
"matchbox recordings listener favourites chart" danny has also
been play listed on Bangkok's very own Get 102.5fm indie radio
station.
