Mr Bligh (formerly of the Darling Reds) may
no longer be a South London resident, but his heart certainly remains in
Rocklands, where his regular acoustic performances are always a pleasure.
And as the man who behind the anthem 'Lewishambles', he has now
given the Deptford/NX/Lewisham triangle its very own anthem. God bless Mr
Bligh.
His earwax session may have been regularly interrupted
by a jack-lead malfunction (well it kept on removing itself from his
guitar while he enthusiastically leapt around the stage),
but it was still a performance to remember. And as the last set of the
2007 Artful Monday sessions at the Deptford Arms, the closing performance
of Lewishambles sent us all home with a warm glow. Nice. |
