Based in west
London, the Guardians of the Ancient Wisdom are a duality obsessed hip-hop
punk crew comprised of danDNA (producer/guitarist/emcee), Madam Blahvatski
aka mad B (bass guitar/emcee), Mr Frendo (Scratch DJ) Wayne Pennell
(producer) and Stan Gooch (author/muse).
Despite
their West London roots, the Guardians have made Southeast London their
second home and have established themselves as one of the New Cross Inn's
favourite acts.
Since debuting their track "what i
need" on earwax and catching the guardians live at the inn, we
couldn't wait to get them along for an earwax session. and we were not disappointed
when it finally happened during artful 2007 at the deptford arms.
Their earwax session was
a light-hearted, scratch-heavy journey through alternative hip-hip
