The
Soundfields |
|
The
Soundfields are a band who certainly know how to craft a damn fine pop
song. Their debut release features no less than eight beautifully crafted
pieces of music that, after a few listens, send shivers down the spine.
The opening track 'One More love Song' screams Oasis, Travis and The Verve
and soon implants itself into your head with its haunting chorus and
stunning vocals. You may have heard it all before, but you'll certainly
want to hear it again... |

The Soundfields are Craig Banks (vocals), Wayne Pauli (guitar) and Carl
Train (drums). The band met whilst working on Craig's solo album 'Blue
Sky'. by combining their individual songwriting styles, they formed The
Soundfields. Inspires by their experiences living in South Africa and the
music they grew up with, they set out to create a big sound - music to
move people. They wrote, arranged and recorded their debut demo EP in
early 2003 which featured the anthemic 'One More Love Song'. After
receiving extensive airplay at home and being featured on the Dutch TV show
'2metresessies', the
band decided to relocate to the UK. They are currently based in Kent where
they have been gigging locally at various venues. They are in the process
of expanding the band with a bassist and rhythm guitarist although even as
a three piece they manage to create a deep and rich sound that gives the
impression of many more musicians at work. The band believe their music is
the music of the sun; they want you to feel it. "Let the music bring
it on and here it comes..."
