We've
been excited about Their Hearts Were Full of Spring since we were first
heard a collection of their recordings in 2006. Demonstrating beautifully
crafted songs and impressive pop sensibilities, THWFOS offered something
completely different from the array of angst ridden angular rock that
floods the earwax letterbox.
Subba-Cultcha.com
refer to THWFOS as
"a joyous cacophony of guitars,
glockenspiels, tambourines and kitchen sinks ... indie-pop is rarely this
fresh, beautiful and heartfelt." And THWFOS lived up to Subba-Culture's
claims when they recorded their Earwax Session at the New Cross Inn in
December 2007. With the audience given the task of providing percussion
via various shakable and bangable utensils, THWFOS cast their eerie spell
over the event with a magical performance of stripped down re-workings of
their own songs and a couple of festive treats.
